Jerry’s Insulin Challenges

JIC's (Jerry's Insulin Challenge) are a series of extreme mountain and road bike challenges that Jerry organises each year to raise money for children and young people with type 1 diabetes in impoverished conditions. The majority of JIC's have been to raise money for Action4Diabetes (A4D). A4D is the charity that Jerry co-founded, and whose aim is to save and transform lives. A4D is focused on providing medical care and support to disadvantaged young people with Type 1 Diabetes (T1DM) in South East Asia. T1DM strikes indiscriminately and if untreated is fatal. In South East Asia, children still die every year because they do not have access to essential medication and support. But A4D is trying to change this! Since its foundation in 2015, A4D has expanded to provide over 600 young people with free access to insulin and blood glucose testing equipment across seven different counties in SE Asia. A4D works with in-country clinics and hospitals, and has a variety of different programs to help children with T1DM, their caregivers and Health Care Professionals. For further details check out the A4D dedicated website. Jerry does JIC's every year and for updates on his latest challenges check out this page on Facebook.
